A Dance Class
2nd Weekend (13-14/7) – 2 hours/day
10:00-12:00, DANCE CENTRE CLASS 1
A Dance Class
We start this class with improvisation tasks where through structured exercises, we can discover, new qualities and new mechanics of movement. Our goal is to awake the memory of the body and expand our movement vocabulary, either working on our own else with a partner.
A series of exercises follows up, that recommend ways on how we can get in and out of the floor, to stand upright in our hands, to move out of our axis, to push the floor loudly, to co-exist with the other bodies in the room. We continue with elaborate combinations, enriched with the tools we have worked so far, combinations that will move us in the space and will teach us, among other things, to coexist with other bodies in space at different speeds and dynamics. We finish up by relaxing our bodies through stretching and more.
